Marie E. Saint-Cyr is an oil painter whose work celebrates the beauty and complexity of the world. Born in Haiti and shaped by her Haitian-American identity, Marie draws deeply from her heritage. Her art reflects the pastoral qualities of Caribbean architecture, weaving a sense of quiet strength and peace into her compositions. Through abstract forms and vibrant colors, she visually communicates the culture and resilience of Haiti, portraying it as a place of warmth, strength, and beauty.

Marie’s artistic journey has taken her across the globe. She studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology and Lorenzo de’ Medici in Florence, Italy, and her travels throughout Europe have greatly influenced her artistic perspective. In 2019, she was awarded a one-year residency with the Haiti Cultural Exchange and participated in the ARTWorks, Inc. professional development program at the Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning (JCAL). Her work has been featured internationally, including at the Haitian Embassy in Washington, D.C., as part of the Diaspora Expressions Expo exhibit.

After a three-year hiatus from painting, Marie has returned to her craft with renewed passion and a deeper connection to her artistic vision. Her work reflects her love for the natural world and her cultural roots, creating art that resonates with those who appreciate beauty and storytelling. Beyond her personal practice, Marie resides in Long Island, New York, where she manages creative businesses serving artists, corporations, and NYC government agencies.
